Summer Meeting

The Wisconsin DNR is excited to host the 2023 NMSFA Summer Meeting in Madison, WI, July 17-20, at the Best Western Premier Park Hotel located at 22 S. Carroll St.  This year our communications committee will be joining us to discuss communications strategies around workforce development and state BIL/IRA implementation.

Registration:

Register online by June 30.  The registration fee is $495 and includes Monday evening’s reception, breakfast, lunch, and breaks on Tuesday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Wednesday, and breakfast and a morning break on Thursday.  A one-day registration is available for $185.  If you encounter any problems with registration or payment, please contact Mandie Huerta at Mandie@NMSFA.org or (202) 631-0590.

Lodging:

A block of rooms at the Best Western Premier Park Hotel in downtown Madison has been reserved at a special rate of $131/night plus tax.  Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at (608) 285-8000 and mentioning the Northeast-Midwest State Foresters Alliance.  Be sure to book your room by June 26 to get the discounted rate.

Transportation:

The hotel is a 15-minute drive from the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison, and they offer airport shuttle service.  When you land, call the hotel at (608) 285-8000 to request a pickup.  When leaving Madison, be sure to reserve a return shuttle with the hotel one day in advance.  No advance reservations are needed for a ride to the hotel, just the return.  Other airport options include Milwaukee (MKE), a 90-minute drive, or Chicago (ORD), a 2-hour drive.
